Shock! The client of a hair saloon has been infected with virus. (Sept. 19, 2006

On Sept. 13、2007、Apple Daily Campus put on the full front page the news: 「A client of the beauty saloon was almost killed by infection with virus after a hair wash.」 As people prefer hard scratches on scalp by using fingernails when washing hair、skin tissues are damaged and infected with pseudomonas aeruginosa. We don’t have any evidence to prove the truth of this incident because it was one and a half months from the hair wash to the occurrence of the incident. Nevertheless、this has given workers at hair saloons a warning. In these years as business of scalp SPA booms and gorgeous benefit is brought to market for hair care、operators of this business create lots of strange selling strategies. This will possibly lead the business to another crisis. SIG suggests that for avoiding arousing any possible critical result、those who are operating this business should stop applying any method that impairs the physiological structure of scalp. SIG gives following six suggestions to fellow operators.

(1) Learning more about physiology of scalp. 
(2) Learning to make judgment by using hands and eyes. 
(3) Adopting computer-control testers with function of recording so as to provide clients with evidence. 
(4) Avoiding directly applying high-concentration herbal extract on scalp. 
(5) Not removing scalp cuticle before making sure that the scalp stratum corneum is too thick thus scalp metabolism is impaired. 
(6) Not applying Chinese traditional scratching therapy for sunstroke on scalp. Besides、consumers should remember to protect themselves whenever application is imposed on the scalp. They must know if the application is imposed with a method meeting the physiological structure of scalp. Let our client feel healthy and enjoyable when having a hair wash in our saloon.
